Course Overview
A Level Business gives you a broad understanding of how organisations operate and succeed in today's competitive economy. You'll explore key business functions including marketing, finance, operations, human resources, and strategic management while developing the analytical and problem-solving skills valued by universities and employers.
You'll study at Loxton Campus in modern business classrooms and boardrooms, using real-world case studies, business simulations, and collaborative projects to bring learning to life. Supported by experienced lecturers and Tutor Learning Mentors, you'll also benefit from our Career Excellence Hub, providing work experience, employer projects, networking opportunities, and progression support throughout your studies.

Where will I study?
You'll study at our purpose-built Sixth Form at Loxton Campus, with access to:
- Modern business classrooms and boardrooms
- Industry-standard technology for business simulations
- Collaborative learning spaces for presentations, discussions, and group projects
How do AS and A Levels work?
You will normally study three or four A Levels over two years. In Year 1, you'll work towards an AS qualification before progressing to the full A Level in Year 2.
This flexible structure allows many students to study four subjects initially before continuing with three. AS Levels also carry UCAS points.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment is through written examinations at the end of Year 2, testing your understanding and application of business concepts in a range of real-world contexts.
Entry Requirements
- A minimum of five GCSEs at grades 9–4, including English and maths

Successful completion can lead to:
- Business Management and Sustainability BA (Hons) at University Centre Weston
- Higher and degree apprenticeships, including HR Consultant/Partner
