Level 3
Art, A Level
Develop your creativity, explore new artistic techniques, and build an impressive portfolio. A Level Art will help you refine your skills, express your ideas with confidence, and prepare for university or a creative career.
Course Overview
A Level Art gives you the opportunity to explore a wide range of traditional and contemporary art practices while developing your own creative style. You'll experiment with drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, digital media, graphics, and mixed-media techniques before specialising in the areas that inspire you most.
You'll study at our purpose-built Sixth Form at Loxton Campus, where modern studio spaces and specialist equipment provide a university-style learning environment. Taught by experienced creative practitioners, you'll develop practical, technical, and critical thinking skills while producing a personal portfolio that reflects your interests and ambitions.
As part of our Career Excellence Hub, you'll benefit from employer-led projects, guest speakers, work experience opportunities, gallery visits, and creative workshops. During Year 1 you'll work towards an AS qualification before progressing to the full A Level in Year 2, giving you flexibility while earning valuable UCAS points.
