Course Overview
The Criminology Diploma combines elements of criminology, psychology, sociology, and law to help you understand why crime happens, how it affects society, and how the criminal justice system responds. Through real-life case studies, research, and practical activities, you'll develop the investigative and analytical skills needed for higher education and a range of public service careers.
Based at Loxton Campus, you'll learn from experienced lecturers in a stimulating Sixth Form environment with access to specialist learning resources, journals, and online databases. As a member of Weston College's Career Excellence Hub, you'll benefit from guest speakers, crime scene investigations, educational visits, and employer engagement that bring the subject to life. This two-year qualification is equivalent to one A Level and can be studied alongside other Sixth Form subjects.

- 50% external examinations
- 50% internally assessed controlled assignments
